Mass LEOSA Training

Federal, State, Municipal LEO Retirees must provide the following items to meet the LEOSA training requirements for Massachusetts concealed carry qualification: 

1. A valid Massachusetts LTC (License to carry).  

2. A valid Retired LEO ID card issued by the Department or Agency from which you retired, in accordance with MA 501 CMR 6.00, which also indicates on the backside that you meet U.S. Title 18 926C.  

3. The handgun you wish to carry concealed.  

4. A holster for the handgun, along with eye and ear protection.  

5. A minimum of 50 rounds of ammunition for your specific firearm (100 rounds recommended in case a re-shoot is required).  

Upon successful completion of the range qualification, the retiree will be issued a Massachusetts LEOSA certificate and qualification card, confirming compliance with the retired law enforcement training standards.

LEOSA training is scheduled during the Spring and Fall months, weather permitting.
